November - How To Scent Your Wedding For An Everlasting Euphoria

Updated: Dec 1, 2023

When it comes to your wedding, you want to capture every moment of your magical day and preserve it in a time capsule. The senses are incorporated and thoroughly overwhelmed during a wedding; the SIGHT of loved ones gathering around for cherished photos, the SOUND of laughter roaring from the groomsman's speech, the distinguished TASTE of the food and especially the cake, and the feeling when you TOUCH the fabric on your wedding gown, but what about capturing the SMELL of your special day? The smell of something can immediately trigger a detailed memory or an intense emotion. Here at Evodia Fragrances, we turn memories into an everlasting euphoria.

Memories are often associated with the sense of smell and we want only the best for you and your special day!

November was the ninth month of the calendar of Romulus c. 750 BC. Its name is derived from novem, Latin for “nine,” an indication of its position in the early Roman calendar. When January and February were added, it was one of the lucky months that retained it's name.

Thanksgiving is usually the first thing you think of when November is mentioned, and while we love being able to eat to the point of being stuffed, that isn't all that November is about. We think of crisp leaves, Black Friday, and sweater weather that has chilled us enough to want to curl up by a fire. It is still a great month for outdoor weddings, but be careful as the dreaded monster (no, not your mother-in-law, snow) can always drop by unannounced. The colors are more muted as the trees have shed their leaves and the sky is more overcast, so incorporating those rustic shades will highlight the new chapters that are about to begin.

Here at Evodia Fragrances, we only want the best for you. So no unpleasant aromas here. To capture every scent of Fall, Evodia Fragrances has over 140 oils, and the euphoric aroma combinations we can create are endless!

Crisp Leaves

  • Picture it, you're walking down the sidewalk on a crisp November day, and all of a sudden you hear the crunch of leaves under your feet, and you smell the earthiness that those leaves give off. If the leaves were the representative for any one thing, it would be change. They have fallen off their branches and changed from bright green into shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown. This season is very bittersweet as we gear up for the winter months ahead of us, but it's all part of the cycle of renewal. And whether you're creating new vows or renewing old vows, this scent captures those life changing moments in any season your life.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A woodsy aroma with evocative notes of Fresh Cut Wood and Dirt, this scent unearths marvel. Brisk notes of Sweet Grass, Sweet Rain, and Pumpkin Patch triggers recollection. Piquant notes of Clove and Bay Rum flow through, which stimulate thoughts.

Black Friday

  • You've eaten your fill of all the delicious foods from the day before, and now it's time to partake in the madness that we call Black Friday. Everyone gathers at various locations to continue (or start) their shopping for presents. Whether or not you go shopping on Black Friday, you can at least appreciate the dedication we Americans have to tradition. It could be a tradition that goes back in your family for generations, or a brand new one, but they are always memorable, and your wedding is no different. You probably won't have your wedding on Black Friday, but even if you do, your wedding will be magical nonetheless. To us, Black Friday is the perfect transition from fall into winter.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A fresh, fruity aroma with breezy notes of Avocado & Mint and Aspen Grass, this scent expresses serenity. Hectic notes of Strawberry, Ginger Thai Basil, and Blueberry provide a rich certainty. Nippy notes of Bamboo & Teak and Violet flow through, which ignites fearlessness.

Sweater Weather

  • You step outside and feel the crisp chill in the air, it's not cold enough for a winter coat, but it is definitely too cold for just a t-shirt. That is sweater weather. Time to break out all the flannel, fleece and festive sweaters and prepare for the coming season before we really need to break out the winter gear. Just like curling up by the fire with hot chocolate and your favorite book, your wedding day is supposed to make you feel content and cozy. And like this season represents, your wedding day is full of change and transition. To us, sweater weather is the blend of spice and warmth that your day needs.

    • One example of our euphoric combinations include: A spicy, woodsy aroma with toasty notes of Spiced Cider and Roasted Oatmeal Stout, this scent embodies fulfillment. Cozy notes of Warm Rustic Woods, Maple Pecan, and Frankincense & Rain provide a knit of affability. Timeless notes of Green Tea and Tobacco Vanilla flow through, which offers assuredness.

November's Color of Everlasting Euphoria - Sage Advice

Sage is a shade of green that is more subdued and muted. It's name comes from the dried leaves of the sage plant; and the pale green with undertones of blue or gray give it a cool and earthy feel. Ancient civilizations in Egypt and Greece used the color in interior design and fashion, where the color was used to represent nature and growth. During the Renaissance period, sage green was commonly used in art and textiles to represent the natural world and beauty of the outdoors. Sage green is often associated with nature, balance and harmony making it the perfect choice to use in your wedding.

Sage green evokes a vibe of being grounded, making it a welcome feeling when dealing with the chaos and stress of planning a wedding. This earthy green shade adds an ethereal feeling that is perfect for a whimsical wedding and compliments your beautiful aesthetic. So if you are the type of bride that does not want to wear white, try sage green for a chic, sophisticated look that will turn heads. Or don't. We can't tell you what to wear on your special day.

If you want to stick to the traditional birthstone color for November, you can choose between the yellow-ish, orange hues of Citrine or go for a rainbow of colors with Topaz. If you opt for Citrine, your day will be less stressful, as ancient Greeks believed that citrine could sooth tempers and calm those around them. If you opt for Topaz, you will be able to overcome all the stress of your day, as ancient Greeks believed that topaz is a symbol for strength.

Regardless of your color palate, or your symbol for love; Evodia Fragrances will still create a bottle that complements your magical day! With over 20 colors and five bottle styles to choose from, you can create your perfect blend to capture the everlasting euphoria from your wedding.

Shown here is one example of Sage Advice; a blend of Robins Egg, Tiger Orange, and Blue Iris, in the Trapezoid bottle.
